Redfern North Eveleigh State Significant Precinct
The NSW Government is investing in the renewal of the Redfern North Eveleigh precinct to create a unique mixed-use development within Tech Central – a State Government commitment to create the biggest innovation and technology hub in Australia.
SCT Consulting has developed a transport strategy and associated analysis to support the State Significant Precinct approvals process. The team collaborated with Bates Smart and Turf Design Studio to define the movement network that supports the place and encourages walking and cycling to Redfern Station and the surrounding precincts.
An integrated approach is a key focus for the SCT Consulting team in guiding the development of precincts across the NSW, resulting in strong place-based outcomes that consider transport needs. We have applied this approach in the development of the Redfern North Eveleigh Paint Shop Sub-Precinct rezoning proposal.
Minister Rob Stokes said “The plan for the Paint Shop would celebrate Redfern’s deep Indigenous connection and industrial past while creating dedicated spaces for start-up businesses and improved active transport links between Redfern Station, North Eveleigh and the local cycle network.”
